Abstract
The Philippine Research, Education, and Government Information Network (PREGINET) project aims to foster collaborative research, development, and educational activities in emerging technologies while serving as a platform for testing innovative next-generation Internet applications and services.
This paper highlights the implementation and current status of the PREGINET project, which is designed as a broadband network and next-generation network testbed in the Philippines. The technologies involved include Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), TDMA-DAMA over satellite, IPv6, IP Multicasting, and Network Measurement.
