The country&#8217;s state of industrialization and economic growth entails a corollary demand for highly skilled manpower, including scientists and researchers, to bring about the desired progress.<br><br>In line with the need to develop human resources in science and technology, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), particularly through the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development (PCIERD), has been stimulating and supporting research activities in identified priority areas.
