The objective is to sensitize the manufacturing sector to improve productivity by using the latest knowledge, tools, and machinery in order to respond in a timely manner. The ASM, held on 10-11 July 2013, should also identify a technology-specific roadmap to revitalize the manufacturing sector by adding value to the inputs in the manufacturing process. The continuing decline in the productivity and viability of the local manufacturing sector has been the subject of much discussion and significant concern.
